iridesce
a poem
Wade amongst the shoreline
The keen mighty ibis
Stalking and seeking
The kindest of sunrays
Cast open the banners with
A dash like echoed desert thunder
And to the rocks amongst the wind
It crumble-breaks asunder
The papyral muse with
Pinion and quill
Looping, swooping, drooping
On sandswept wing like
A reed fluttering
The crescent!
The crescent
The nascent present
Rushing beneath the willowed
Leaves yet green, so green to gain
Shun your dew drops and
Shed your pain
Oh yes
The sea mist swirls
And curls in tornado whirls
Over the sunbaked man-hate desert
The clever cleaver parts
A valley so deep before soaring
Near the moon
Race the sun and trace the stars
The wind billow and
And
Breathe once
Hold with the energy
Glistened like a moat
Around the most glorious palace
The empress
So green to gain
Needs no sun
No silver nor gold
Neither gem nor bold
No breaker-metal
Just soul
